Alicea (Johnson) Trott -
After finishing at Ipswich Girls Grammar year 12 in 1988, I started a Trainee Management Position with Myer Retailers at Carindale for 18 months. Re-met Mark Trott and returned to Mundubbera not long after my parents returned too and I helped them to start up a True Value Hardware Store, at the Old Foodstore Site. I raised Funds while competing in the 1992 RSL Girl in a Million Quest, going to Brisbane, & being the Wide Bay Entrant. I got Married in Oct 1992, and worked with Marks family Business - Citrus Orchard, had Bowden James 12, Josephine Louella 10, Edina Charley 7 & Roanna Illee 5. I became very much involved in the Children’s activities & the community --- Involved in Little Theatre and Entertainment nights, Kindy executive & fundraising (last 8 years), preschool executive, School P & C Member with being the Uniform Co-ordinator, (introducing the new uniform in 2001, & currently working on winter uniform), Mundubbera Community Development Assoc. Executive (1998-2004) currently swimming club Time Recorder & President, & currently Pony Club Treasurer for this year, submitting grant applications for a Multi Purpose Indoor Arena.
After Loosing my younger sister Jody (at 24) to ovarian cancer at Easter 2003, I found myself able to become involved in a Quilting & patchwork business, this extended itself when the Lutheran Church Closed and was for sale. I purchased and renovated it to a Craft & Coffee shop. I currently see this as a hobby as I still have Roanna with me part time from pre-school, but aim to build it up gradually for the coming years. I haven’t TRAVELLED, hope to do that when all the kids are older, so just had holidays to Bali, New Zealand (honeymoon), Japan & Taiwan, and go snow Skiing, been numerous times kids included, now have the bug, it’s really hard to shake.
